Intelligate has been designed with flexibility and future
features in mind, yet Intelligate is backward compatible with many of
the features found in the older RTUs such as the DATAP DS3000 and DS5000. It is able to connect to legacy network
elements and report data using older protocols such as the DATAP
DCP1 (DATAP
Communications Protocol 1), DCP2 (DATAP Communications Protocol 2) or use newer standards
such as MODBUS, MODBUS over IP, Telnet, TCP/IP and SNMP. Intelligate literally
bridges the gap between the older fixed-form RTUs and the ever-changing industry demands of today’s IP based
Telecommunications, Utility, Oil & Gas markets.
Intelligates new Graphical User
Interface (GUI) is a user-friendly package which provides pick lists and pull down menu options
allowing users to navigate through the various configuration options. Each functional module can be
customized for items such as protocol selection and alarm descriptions. By using
almost any PC, anywhere on your network, you can manage your Intelligate RTUs, with the full range
of monitoring and acknowledging of alarms, operating control relays and generating historical
trends for analysis of network events.
Viewing the unit from the rear, the
leftmost module slot is position #1 and accepts only the processor module. The main power supply occupies the 12th position. All other modules can be installed in multiple
slots, including additional power supplies. This simple design gives our customers a canvas in
which to create almost any RTU configuration and do so on a site by site basis. A true “plug
and play” philosophy for remotes.
